MENUMayor Craig Neuhaus, Staunton's 2024 Citizen of the Year
Pictured is Staunton's 2024 Citizen of the Year, Mayor Craig Neuhaus.
The Staunton Chamber of Commerce has named Mayor Craig Neuhaus as the 2024 Citizen of the Year. Craig is the 4th Neuhaus to win the award. Craig's mother Audre (1993), his brother and sister in law Lynn and Nancy (2022) are past recipients.
From his nomination and compiled from members of the community wrote:
~ "Craig doesn't believe in the status quo when it comes to the City of Staunton. He is always looking and listening for ways to make Staunton better. Some of the current events, such as the Balloon Glow and the Glow ride are examples of the family events he has created. He is involved in every City event and personally sponsors many events. He is not only the Mayor, but he also serves on boards of many local organizations and donates his time and skills to help when needed. He leads by his example to be involved and to believe no dream is too big to accomplish. The City of Staunton has expanded and grown during his 13 years of being the Mayor of Staunton."
Craig will be part of the Inaugural Side by Side Parade and he, along with his family, will officially light the tree for our 2024 Christmas Season. Craig will be awarded his plaque following the tree lighting.
Nominations were sought from Staunton's community and voted on by the Chamber of Commerce.
