Staunton's 3rd Annual Balloon Glow

The City of Staunton, Illinois' Tourism Department, along with the Staunton Chamber of Commerce is holding its third annual Balloon Glow on August 18th, 2018 at Fireman's Park beginning at 3 pm and lasting until... well we don't exactly know how long it will last. It all depends on when the sun sets that day, what the weather has in store, and how long our guests want to stay and enjoy what promises to be an amazing summer night in Staunton, Illinois.

This family-focused event will feature live entertainment, activities for the kids, food and beverages, as well as the opportunity to view beautiful hot air balloons in this quaint rural community.

Tethered Rides happening again this year! Just like last year, a hot air balloon will also be available for rides! (Weather permitting) Due to time restrictions, there will only be a limited number of tethered rides offered. First come, first served! Please see the "Disclaimer" tab for more information about the possibility of tethered rides being cancelled.
Adults - $15 each, Kids - $10 each.

2018 Balloon Preview! Below are the five beautiful hot air balloons you can expect to see at this year's event. The balloons will begin arriving around 3:00pm. One balloon will be designated to give tethered rides (weather permitting) as soon as possible after arrival and set up. The rest of the balloons will be inflated (weather permitting) from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm.

The balloons are provided by WindDancer Balloon Promotions out of Waukesha, Wisconsin. This balloon company is the winner of the Milwaukee A-List Best in Host Air Balloonings since 2010.

Kids' Activities This Year Include:

• 4 large bounce houses - 3 pm to 8 pm
• Face painting / various crafts - 4 pm to 7pm
• Way Cool Balloon Guys - 4 pm to 9 pm
• Casey the Entertainer - 4 pm to 7 pm
• Souvenir photos by Dinnius Photography - 4 pm to 8 pm
